About me
Alejandra Pretel is 27 years old and identifies as a Black-Afro-Colombian, lesbian, and migrant activist. With over eight years of experience in the Black women’s movement, she is a specialist in Afro-Latin American and Caribbean studies from CLACSO and an advanced student of Philosophy at the University of Buenos Aires. She is a co-founder and project coordinator at Afrocolectiva, a Spanish-language Afro-feminist digital media and organization with a presence in Latin America, the Caribbean, and Spain, and currently coordinates the diaspora region for the Network of Afro-Latin American, Afro-Caribbean, and Diaspora Women.
