Early in her career, Chaneil worked as a tutor and teacher and completed internships and volunteer roles at organisations such as CERN and Amnesty International, gaining experience in research, science communication, and policy engagement. She has written for Physics World magazine and coordinated communities at the Frontier Development Lab (Europe and USA), applying Earth sciences to AI-driven projects. She currently serves as a Subject Matter Expert for NASA SpaceApps, advising teams on Earth observation, climate science, and space innovation and contributes as an independent expert to UN discussions on environmental monitoring and SDGs.
