About me
Christal Parris-Campbell is a legal professional with a Bachelor of Laws Degree (Hons.) from the University of the West Indies, Mona and a Certificate of Legal Education from the Norman Manley Law School. She is also certified in making and implementing public policy. She is the female Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Youth Ambassador for Jamaica.
Currently, she serves as an Assistant Parliamentary Counsel at the Office of the Parliamentary Counsel.
Since her tenure as a CARICOM Youth Ambassador, she has chaired a panel for the Caribbean Youth Summit and participated in the National Youth Project centred on aquaponics and climate resilience. Also, she offered remarks on behalf of Caribbean youth at the 49th meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community.
She also received the opportunity to travel to the United Nations Headquarters in New York to advocate for the inclusion of women and girls in the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
Christal is passionate about youth advocacy and national development and through her specialization in public policy development and the translation of policy to legislation, she endeavours to continue to advocate for the inclusion of youth in government policy and upholding the targets and initiatives of CARICOM.
